EA announces ‘long-term’ Marvel deal for consoles and PC

Electronic Arts has officially announced a long-running “multi-title collaboration” with the massive comic Marvel to develop no fewer than three new action and adventure games for both console and PC. The exact platforms have not yet been confirmed.

These games will come with their own “original story” set in the Marvel universe. The first game, as revealed in September, is single player, third person Iron Man A game from Motive Studios.

EA COO Laura Miele mentioned how EA has been a longtime fan of Marvel and was looking forward to welcoming it into the EA family:

“We’ve been longtime fans of Marvel and their incredible leadership, so this is a great moment for our developers as well as our players and fans. We look forward to welcoming Marvel to the EA family of creators and know this collaboration will result in exceptional experiences for our players. We can’t wait to see players’ reactions when they wear it. Iron Man costume and doing the extraordinary things this superhero is famous for.”

The new Iron Man project is led by Olivier Proulx, the same person who served as first producer on the Square Enix title, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Available as a cloud version on Nintendo Switch.
